Three New Board Members Announced
At Bangor Hydro Electric Company

(Bangor)-- Chris Huskilson, Chairman of the Board, Bangor Hydro Electric Company, announces three new members of the board of directors: Peter A. "Andi" Vigue of Cianbro Corporation, Clare Hudson Payne, Esq., of Eaton Peabody, and P. James Dowe, Jr. of Maine Public Broadcasting Network.

"The addition of Mr. Vigue, Ms. Payne and Mr. Dowe to Bangor Hydro's Board of Directors ensures the company will continue to benefit from a diverse knowledge base," said Huskilson. "Their strong leadership will be extremely valuable as we move into a new era of exciting changes in the electricity industry."

Peter A. "Andi" Vigue, is President and Chief Operating Officer of Cianbro Corporation. He joined Cianbro in 1990. Vigue worked through the construction ranks, managed Cianbro's Fabrication & Coatings Facilities, and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Cianbro Corporation. Vigue earned a B. S. in Civil Engineering and an MBA from the University of Maine.

Clare Hudson Payne is Of Counsel at the law firm of Eaton Peabody, where she practices employment law. She provides client representation before arbitrators, the National Labor Relations Board, Maine Labor Relations Board, Maine Human Rights Commission and Unemployment Commission. Payne served on the Maine Board of Bar Examiners from 1988 through 2000. She also served as Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association from 1994 through 1996. Payne serves as Chair of the John Bapst Memorial High School Board of Trustees and on the Board of Directors for Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She graduated from The Madeira School, received a B. A. from Trinity College, and earned her J.D. at Villanova University School of Law.

P. James Dowe, Jr. is President and CEO of Maine Public Broadcasting Network. Dowe began his tenure as President of MPBN in April of 2006. He also served as President, CEO and Trustee for ten years at Bangor Savings Bank and held the position of President and CEO at Bath Savings Institution for nine years. Dowe served as chairman of the Maine Association of Community Banks and as a director of America's Community Bankers. Active in community affairs, he serves as director for Action Committee of 50, and is a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy and the Maine Public Broadcasting Network. He serves as a Trustee of the University of Maine System and is a member of the Creative Economy Council. Mainebiz recognized Dowe as the 2003 Business Leader of the Year. He graduated from Leavitt Institute, attended the University of Vermont and earned a BA degree from the University of Maine in 1972.

These appointments increase the number of directors to eleven, including existing directors Bob Hanf, Bangor Hydro CEO; Chris Huskilson, Emera President and CEO; Sarah MacDonald, Emera Vice President of HR; Norm Ledwin, former President and CEO of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems; Jane Bush, President of Coastal Ventures; Ray Robinson, Emera Vice President of Integrated Operations; Nancy Tower, Emera CFO; and Ralph Tedesco, Former CEO of Nova Scotia Power.
